MHS Counselors’ Corner
All Grade Levels:
- Start looking at your 2nd semester classes and let your counselors know if you want to make any changes!
Seniors:
- Advisory Topic This Week: Xello – Career Back Up Plans
- Check-in with Ms. Bonnette or Mr. Duntz to ensure you are on track to graduate!!!
- Financial Aid Night: Tuesday, Dec 3rd in Rezac Auditorium at 7pm. A rep from K-State financial aid will be here to talk about the FAFSA, loans, grants, and scholarships.
- ASVAB Test Sign-Up: Manhattan High School will be providing students the opportunity to take the ASVAB in the month of November. The next ASVAB is scheduled for November 20, 2024 in the Little Theater from 730-1230. The ASVAB measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success. The test is open to students in grades 10, 11, and 12. There is no fee for the exam and no military obligation. There are currently 60 open seats.Registration is now open and will close November 15 or once all seats are filled. To register, use this link - ASVAB Sign-Up. - Graduation Regalia: Jostens representative met with the senior class to share ordering information for graduation regalia. Orders can be turned into the school on October 30th, or you can order online at MHS Josten's Order Link. The fabric on the cap & gown is changing this year, and students planning to use an older siblings cap & gown can trade in the one they have for a new one in the same size. Graduation regalia includes a cap, gown, stoll, and tassel. For families who plan to exchange their cap & gown, please call Jostens at 785-843-2967 to set up the exchange and order the 2025 stoll and tassel.
Juniors:
