All Grade Levels:

• Need Volunteer Hours? The KEY Club meets every week and each week can count as a volunteer hour. They meet every Thursday from 3-4pm in the commons by the alumni room. Here is the parent square club link: Key Club Group

Seniors: 

• Advisory Topic Next Week: Update and finalize resume and letters of recommendation
• If you have not ordered a cap and gown, please do so now: Manhattan High Jostens Order. Graduation regalia includes a cap, gown, stoll, and tassel. For families who plan to exchange their cap & gown, please call Jostens at 785-843-2967 to set up the exchange and order the 2025 stoll and tassel.
• Transcripts: If you haven’t already, it is a good time to check your high school transcript to ensure it is reflecting accurately. Please email or visit with Mr. Duntz or Ms. Bonnette for an unofficial copy. If you are needing an official copy, please fill out this form: Transcript Request Form
• Scholarship Opportunity: Are you the child, grandchild, or great grandchild of someone who served in the First Infantry Division? You could qualify for a scholarship. Deadline to apply is March 1, 2025. Read the following information thoroughly and fill out the appropriate application: Huebner Scholarship Info and Application
• Scholarship Opportunity: 2025 high school seniors in any Riley County School can apply for the MAREA Scholarship. Applications are due March 21, 2025 and all fields of post-secondary study are considered including four-year universitys, two-year community colleges, and technical schools. Pick up an application in Ms. Bonnette’s office or fill out the attached: MAREA Scholarship Application

Juniors:

• Horatio Alger Scholarships: Juniors have the opportunity to apply for over 600 scholarships with offers up to $25,000 each. Apply by March 1, 2025 here: Horatio Alger Scholarship Application
• Boys State: Held at Kansas State from June 1-June 7  Information:  KS Boys State Info Application:  KS Boys State Application $375- Sponsoring organization often helps with most of this fee. Reach out to kyle.wheatley@ksbstate.org for assistance with finding sponsoring organization. Early bird discount of $50 for those who register by January 31. Not affiliated with MHS, please contact the organization directly with any questions.
• Girls State: Held at the University of Kansas from June 1-June 6 Information:  KS Girls State Info Registration: KS Girls State Registration Due by May 1. $450- Sponsoring organization often helps with the fee. Sophomores:
